ABOUT US

HISTORY

The Greenfield Concert Band is composed of professional and amateur adult musicians and gifted students from throughout the southeastern Wisconsin area. Formed in 2013, we are a 501(c)(3) organization committed to exposing the city of Greenfield and surrounding area to great wind band literature from as many genres and styles as written repertoire will allow.

As our mission statement says, it is the band’s goal to “unite the talents of its performers, empower its membership with a quality repertoire, and provide the community with positive and memorable musical experiences.” With the completion of each successful concert season, our goal is to aim ever higher to provide the best possible experience for our members and our community.

The Greenfield Concert Band rehearses Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. Rehearsals take place at either the Greenfield High School band room or the Greenfield Middle School band room, and performances take place at the Greenfield High School PAC. We also participate in outreach concerts at local churches throughout the season. A schedule with locations can be found here.
